From Mother Marie de Gonzague to Thérèse.

My Thérésita of Jesus,

Theresa’s Jesus is very happy with His fiancée's joy! Yes, confidence, dear child of my heart; everything that Jesus wills is marked with the seal of the Cross, and we must not drag this Cross but carry it! The longer you live, my treasure, the more you will understand all the sacrifices for His love that the grace of the vocation Jesus has given you merits.... Monseigneur will be at the reunion at the Vatican; don't allow yourself to be intimidated and do what you will be able to do to go to Confession to M. Révérony. And then place the whole matter under the protection of the holy Apostles with hope, confidence, and all will work out for the greatest glory of God and your own greatest good, child of our love. We are eager to know if you received the three letters sent to Venice, Loreto, and Rome? It seems to us that we are with you in the Eternal City; we don't leave you, incomparable Father, and children so dear to our hearts, and the distance makes us think more than ever of our reunion in the heavenly city!!!

In the meanwhile, my heart knows nothing about space and it is with you, there where you are! I bless you; I love you; and the trinity from the Carmel is united with and kisses the trinity at Rome.

Your Mother, Marie de Gonzague

I am very happy with the two little pages from my dear children!. . . A great thank-you from my motherly heart.
