Jesus!

Dear little sister, I don’t have much to say to you for your birthday and yet my heart is full… There you can easily read all that I’m unable to write down… This little flower I’m sending you was picked by our poor father 26 years before you were born, in 1843! That was 51 years ago!... Such is life!... we pass away on this earth, we fade like wildflowers… Yes… but only to [v°] bloom again and live eternally in the eternal springtime of the Heavens, there where the years aren’t counted like here below… There where there is neither morning nor night, but eternal day! A day that never wanes… Life goes on… and the dawn of this day approaches. Let us work to arrive in our homeland with our hands full of the grain that we will have picked in the valley of exile…

Your little sister who loves you so much!...

M. of the S. Heart
