Darling little Céline,

Let us take heart, God isn’t abandoning us. Let us love him, let us grow more and more attached to his holy will. It’s all the happiness there is in this world. Especially for us… There will come a time when God’s will shall no longer be to keep us suffering but to give us the infinite joys of Heaven… And it won’t be long… What is life? A flash!... Like Jesus we can reply to those who consider us to have been so humiliated: “My kingdom is not of this world (Jn 18:36)!” No, our kingdom is not of this world, it is elsewhere! We are going there by way of a path of crosses but is it not the very same path that Jesus took? O, this is a consolation above all others… “No one understands the Passion of Christ so thoroughly as the man whose lot it is to suffer the like himself (Imit., book II, chap. XII, 4).” How right the Imitation is!

Farewell my darling, I will say with Saint Teresa our Mother: “… Since life is so short and all ends so quickly, let us uphold the battle to the end so as to win the prize.”

I send you my kisses and love you very much
