LT 208 - To sister Geneviève - Winter 1896-1897

LT 208 From Thérèse to Sister Geneviève.

Winter 1896-1897

J.M.J.T.

I beg you very humbly to spare poor M. his footwarmer tomorrow .. .but I beg you again to see to it that he be awakened for the Hours. He fears that his paper is useless, since the awakener is accustomed to seeing demoiselle coming to trounce M., each morning, to gently bring him out from his dreams.

Do not be upset, poor demoiselle, obliged to carry little jugs to the right and to the left One day Jesus in His turn "will go and come to serve you" and that day will come soon.
